September 17, 2010 – Goin’ Rogue . . . Rogue Brewery and Eatery that is! Last night after perusing Powell’s Books (http://www.powells.com/locations/powells-books-on-hawthorne/), we were thirsty so headed out for a home brewed beer at the Rogue Brewery. I opted for Honey Orange Amber while Joe went for a “Dead Guy”. Not normally a beer drinker, I enjoyed mine and was happy with one, but we didn’t get out of there without a 6-pack of Dead Guy to go!
Started the day off at, “The Jam”, a very artsy diner featuring breakfast and cocktails – nice combo J We weren’t quite ready for a breakfast cocktail but did enjoy a unique breakfast. All of the restaurants that we’ve been to on this trip have been unique – it’s hard to describe the food we’re eating other than FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!!! It’s been heavy on the salmon lately!
Today we cruised the many vintage shops of Portland – what a blast back to the past!!! I saw so many harvest gold and avocado green items with owl and mushroom appliqués that I thought I was back in the 70’s again!!
We visited Council Crest Park which provided a 360 degree view of Portland . . . on a clear day . . . today is overcast so the view was a little cloudy but beautiful! WE enjoyed seeing the Columbia River.
¿Por Que No? (Why Not?) (http://www.porquenotacos.com/) the restaurant of the evening. EXCELLENT Mexican food!!! Allison’s friend, Ethan, joined us for great food, drinks and a lot of laughs J
Happy Birthday to my brother, John!!!!! I love you!

I'm so full just hearing about all the food! Yum!
