Good-bye Seattle! Hello Portland!!

  

September 16, 2010 – Good-bye Seattle, Good-bye Rubin!!!  Joe & I took a fast-paced walk to the original Starbucks early this morning for coffee, and smoothies for the girls, before packing up our condo and hitting the road to Portland.   Both girls are joining us on this venture – we’ll end up in Petaluma, California on Saturday and will take Allison to San Francisco on Sunday to catch a flight back to Seattle.  Our first roadside stop was at “Slices”; a specialty pizza shop owned by friends of Allison – we ate lunch there and highly recommend it J 

We are now exploring Portland – I’m currently in Powell’s Bookstore – the absolutely HUGHEST new and used bookstore ever!  We have to keep track of each other by texting J  We have a house rented for 2 nights and just found out that it doesn’t have Internet sooooooooooooo my blog may be a little sparse for a couple of days – if I can’t find a place with WIFI, I’ll do a big entry when we get to California on Saturday.
