Party's Over - Home Again

We're still on the road but are back in Michigan.  We're spending these last few hours rehashing the trip . . . the adventures, the music, the laughs, the friends we shared our travels with.  It was a perfect trip - even better than we had anticipated!!  We've been a great team and all agree we could do it again so, until the next trip . . . Later Gators :-)

On the road again - pit stop . . . Savannah, GA

After saying farewell to our friends in Crystal River, we hit the road again - driving most of the day except for a pit stop in Savannah, GA.  We parked the car in front of a very fancy hotel near the River Walk to explore but all of us needed to use a restroom so we went inside.  People were all sitting in the lobby listening to a pianist so we ducked into the lounge.  A patron told us that wine was free so there we sat, in this fancy hotel, drinking free wine and eating cheese & crackers hardly able to stop laughing.  We kept saying that no place else treats us this good when we want to use their bathroom.

We really enjoyed exploring along the cobblestone streets and visiting the shops.  We had a great dinner then jumped in the car and drove  on to Columbia, SC where we are now in for the night.

Crystal River, FL

Yoopers were out in full force in Crystal River, Florida!!  We were guests of Carolyn Crowley/Les Connon and together with the St. Onges, Erspamers, Ettens and Tibbitts we hit all of the local hot spots . . . eating freshly caught seafood, drinking cold beverages, dancing, singing, boating, exploring and swimming with the Manatees (a favorite).  It was three days of nothing but fun and friendship which made the good-byes a little tough.

Orlando!!

It's so hard to keep up on posts with our travels so I have to do two today to catch up!!

We sadly left Disney World but the fun was just beginning with Anne & Tony Erspamer!  First stop was to visit Tony’s sister, Ann, and her husband, Dave, for a poolside BBQ.  Bill & Carol Etten also joined the group J After ANOTHER adventure in fine food, drinks and friends, we checked into Anne & Tony’s Marriot Resort.  We lived like the rich for 3 days!!  The guys took in the Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Tournament at Bay Hills - to their delight they saw all of their golf faves:  Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and others.  The women lunched at The Cheesecake Factory and hit the mall.

The next day the guys went to a Detroit Tigers/New York Yankees pre-season baseball game – another great day!!!  The ladies went poolside, enjoying the sunshine and a pina colada from the pool bar. 

Ettens came over and we wrapped up our visit with a hilarious card game of golf – so many laughs.

Well, Mickey Mouse and friends did it again . . . guided us through two days of reality mixed with illusions, fascinating adventures and just plain fun!  We laughed . . . and screamed so much and for two whole days we were kids once again!!
