Natchez Trace Parkway

We began our day at the Loveless Cafe, famous for it's down home southern cooking and located at the beginning of the Natchez Trace Parkway.  We highly recommend this restaurant - it's like a step back in time and everything is delicious, even the grits :-)  Bellies full, we headed out for a day of picturesque travels on the historic path where Meriwether Lewis, of Lewis & Clark fame, traveled and is buried.  Bobbie and I passed some time with a game of cribbage and, for the first time ever, were dealt the exact same hand - it gave us a lot of laughs!

We bunked for the night in Tupelo, Mississippi, birthplace of Elvis Presley.  To our delight, they had an open bar for their guests - oh, oh!!  We teamed up with a nice couple from the Twin Cities in Minnesota for a night of hysterical laughter.

So far, our travels have been excellent!!
